Abstract

A fairy ring formed by Phylloporia veraecrucis (Polyporaceae) was observed in a
jungle of Quintana Roo. Five species of macromycetes (Basidiomycotina) are reported by first
time from the Mexican mycobiota: Tremella rubromaculata (Tremellales), Tremelloscypha
gelatinosa (Tremellales), Favolaschia aff. fendleri (Agaricales), Marasmiellus cubensis
(Agaricales) and Lycogalopsis solmsii (Lycoperdales), all of them from Quintana Roo and/or
Yucatan State.
