Abstract

Mushroom producíion of three strains of Pleurotus (1E-170, IE-172 & IE-176) on barley straw and coffee pulp was
eyaluated. On both substrates the highest production was obtained with strain IE-172, with a mean biological
efficiency of 125 2 % in flve flushes and a period of production of 43 days on barley straw and ! 18.2 % biological
éffidency ¡n síx flushes and a period of production of 41 days on coffee pulp. The averagc biological efficiencies of
the other strains flúctuates between 55.5 to 82.8 % .
