Cultivation of Pleurotus sp. strains on coffee pulp

Abstract

Mushroom production of several strains of Pleurotus sp. was evaluated on coffee
pulp. The highest biological efficiencies were obtained whit CCEBI 3021, CCEBI 3024 and
CCEBI 3027, strains reaching values of 195.38, 204.36 and 225.23%, production rate of
3.41, 4.35 and 4.50% and a period of production of 45, 50 and 60 days respectively. The
largest diameter of fruit body (10.17cm) was obtained whit CCEBI 3027 strain.
