Abstract

The occurrence of emerging i nfectious diseases have dr amatically increased in
the last twenty years. Climatic modifications and human intervention had modified the
biotope of some opportunistic strains, As a result, propagation of resistant microbes had
contributed to the emergence and re-emergence of new and old well known pathogens.
The opportunist emerging mycoses are the most since their diagnosis and prevention are
often difficult. The capacity of these eucaryotics pathogens to cause infection in
immunocompromised patients is extremely high. The unusual clinical manifestations in the
context of host immunodeficiency suggest that a continuous vigilance and actualization is
needed for all health related professionals. The emerging of the opportunistic fungal
pathogens had motivated to study the mechanisms of virulence by which these pathogens
cause disease to understand their vital biological processes to find more and effective
therapeutic targets.
