Abstract

Pathogenicity tests were performed with seven strains of
the fungus Hirsutella thompsonii with the coconut mite
Eriophyes guerreronis . Different conidia concentrations
( 7, 000± 500, 14, 000± 500 a nd 26, 000± 500 c/ml) were used to
infect the mites . The seven strains of tLthompsonii were
pathogenic for J;;.. querreronis with different levels of
aggressiveness among them.
