Two native strains of Lentinus boryanus (Berk. et Mont.) Sing. (·~· cubensis
B. et C.) from Xalapa, Veracruz zone were studied. The mycelial growth in five
different temperatures (30, 27.5, 25, 22 and 20°C) and in four solid media (potato
dextrose agar , malt extract agar, Sabouraud dextrose agar and dextrose agar) was
studied. At 20-22•c the strains showed the optimal growth in potato dextrose and
malt extract. A tetrapolar heterothallic sex pattern was observed.
