Amanita herrerae is described as a new species from Hidalgo. It is assigned

adhering sac which turns yellow by handling. It ¡s cióse to A. angustipora Cleland
from Australia, but differs in the spores, in the volva and does not present change
of color when bruised. It isalso cióse to A. gwyniana Cokerfrom U.S.A. but differs
in the coloration of pileus and volva. A. herrerae is associated with severa! species
of Section Lepidella, subsection Limbatulae due to its yellow color when bruised
and the structure of the volva. No evidence of tryptamines, amatoxins and
phallotoxins were found ¡n this species.
