Species of the genus Oudemansiella (Tricholomataceae, Agaricales) in Mexico

Abstract

Four species of this genus are known from México: O. canarii (Jungh.)
Hohnel, O. longipes (Bull. ex St. Amans) Moser, O. platyphylla. (Pers. ex
Fr.) Mos. and O. radicata (Rehl. ex Fr.) Sing. They are recorded from the
states of Hidalgo, Oaxaca and Veracruz. In this paper it is recorded the distribution
of these species in the states of Chiapas, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán,
Morelos, Nuevo León and Tabasco. O. pilosa (Rick) Sing. and O.
steffenü (Rick) Sing. are fírst recorded from the Mexican mycoflora. Discussion
about each one of the species, the distinctive morphological characteristics,
their habitat, and distribution, including a key for the identification
of Oudemansiella species from México are presented.
