New records of Lysurus periphragmoides from Mexico

Abstract

Lysurus peripharagmoides (Klotzch) Dring was only known as Simblum sphaemcephalum
Schlecht of the State of México through a report of Guzmán & Herrera in 1969. In
the present paper this fungus is recorded from the States of Tamaulipas and Nuevo
León, and probably from the State of Veracruz, as discussed.
