Abstract

A probably case of porcine Zygomycosis (Mucormycosis) is described; the animal
presented an abscess in the right foot. Routinarely studies of bacteriology,
mycology and histophatology were made. Rhyzopus sp. as well as Staphylococcus
aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated. In the histophatological
studies showed a granular tissue with infiltration of linfocites, macrophages,
gjgant cells and eosinophiles and necrotic tissue with hyphal structures.
