A new genus and two new species of the Agaricaceae from Mexico

The new species Tricholosporum subporphyrophyllum Guzmán and Rhodophyllus
mexicanus Guzmán are described. The genus Tricholosporum Guzmán
is described as new too. It is cióse to Tricholoma, but the stauriform
and cruciform or cross-shaped spores in the new genus are not in Tricholoma.
T. subporophyllum Guzmán is cióse to T. porphyrophyllum (Imai) Guzmán,
segregated here from Tricholoma, a species only known from Japan and without
cystidia and larger pileus and stipe. T. subporphyrophyllum Guzmán
is a tropical species only known from Tabasco and Morelos States. Rhodophyllus
mexicanus Guzmán is a white fungus, only known from Nuevo León
State and from desert vegetation; it is cióse to the Northamerican species:
Entalama albidum Hesler and E. megacystidiosum Hesler, but those species
have different size of spores and basisdia, as well as different habitat.
