Digestive candidiasis and prototecosis in piolets with probably predisposition by aflatoxin B1

A case of digestive candidiasis and prototecosis with probably predisposition
by aflatoxin BI in piglets of 3-4 days oíd is reported. The animáis present persistent
diarrea, that not response to the antibiotic therapy. In 9 dead piglets and one
piglet sacriflcated, postmortem bacteriology, virology, and micology routinarely
studies were made; in the last animal was made also histopathological studies and
test for aflatoxin detection in stomach, intestine, liver, kidney and lung. Candida
albicam and Prototeca wickerhamii were isolated from some animáis.
